MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL 2018

Square Rock was delighted to accept an invitation to the Montreux Jazz Festival 2018, where internationally acclaimed photographer David Katz captured spectacular images.

David provided the organisers with amazing shots of Deep Purple on stage. Bass player Roger Glover witnessed the catastrophic fire at Montreux in 1971 and wrote ‘Smoke on the Water’. Who would have thought that he would be back at Montreux with Deep Purple all these years later, continuing to play worldwide favourite tracks?

David Katz was also in perfect position to photograph legendary artists including Billy Idol and Pharrell Williams, who was reunited on stage with N.E.R.D.

The Hollywood Vampires were firmly in David’s viewfinder. The ‘Vampires’ comprise Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry of Aerosmith fame.

The Square Rock representatives enjoyed spending time with Mathieu Jaton, CEO of Montreux Jazz Festival.

Montreux echoed to the sound of vintage rock, and was captured forever through the lenses of David Katz.
